Our Moto
“The goal of human life is realization of God” said Sri Ramakrishna, the founder of Ramakrishna Order of Hindu Monks associated with Ramakrishna Math, Belur near Kolkata.
Swami Vivekananda, the duly authorized preacher of Sri Ramakrishna’s life and message to the world reiterated the same idea a bit differently, “My ideal indeed can be put into a few words and that is: to preach unto mankind their divinity, and how to make it manifest in every movement of life.”
To realize this objective Swami Vivekananda placed before the followers of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda ideal the twin objective of “ATMANO MOKSHARTHAM JAGADDHITAYA CHA” (for one’s liberation from the cycle of birth and death and for the well-being of all creatures of the world).
As a branch centre of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, this institution serves the people of Tripura in particular and the humanity in general in the spirit of worship as taught by Sri Ramakrishna, “Shivajnane jivaseva” further clarified by Swami Vivekananda as “We are the servants of that God who by the ignorant is called MAN.”
The Viveknagar Centre along with its sub-centre (Gangail Road City Centre) is implementing the above objectives sincerely in spite of many constraints in the areas of “man-making and character-building education” both general and technical along with health services to the under-privileged as will be evident from several pages of this website.
